Winners and Finalists were selected by a jury of senior scientists and engineers from institutions primarily in the Northeast.
“We are so impressed with not just the enthusiasm for the competition, but the outstanding quality of the nominations. On behalf of the Blavatnik Family Foundation, I congratulate this year’s postdoctoral winners and finalists. We are proud to recognize these young researchers working at the forefront of scientific and technological advances in one of the most dynamic and innovative scientific regions of the world.”
—Len Blavatnik, Founder and Chairman of Access Industries and head of the Blavatnik Family Foundation
“These remarkable young scientists, at the early stages of their careers, already possess extraordinary scientific maturity and have conducted high quality research. We thank all regional institutions for participating in this year’s competition and welcome our 2014 Winners and Finalists to the Blavatnik Science Scholars Community.”
—Dr. Mercedes Gorre, Executive Director of the Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists
